Job summary

Belimo Holding AG in Danbury, CT, seeks a Production Group Leader to supervise the Production Assembly Department, plan releases, and manage materials to meet On-Time Delivery and quality goals. The schedule is Friday–Sunday, 7 AM–7 PM, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

You will lead and develop a team, coordinate budgets with the MTS Manager, analyze data for labor standards, and deliver KPI-based reports while upholding Belimo's value-driven culture and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• ERP experience required.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to communicate in written and verbal form to professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the release, assembly, and materials consumption of production orders.
• Organize and orchestrate production assembler activities to promote quality and on-time delivery.
• Monitor production schedules and communicate potential interruptions to departments.
• Reduce costs through efficiencies and continuous improvement.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and controlling department budgets with the MTS Manager.
• Create, analyze, and present production reports used in KPI measurements.
• Lead, motivate, and train direct reports to meet goals and HR guidelines.
• Maintain department machinery, equipment, and safety standards (ESD/HSSE).

Job description

The Production Group Leader is responsible for supervising the Production Assembly Department to ensure efficiencies of all required processes. The schedule for this position is Friday-Sunday, 7 AM - 7 PM.

What You'll Do

• Plan and schedule the release, assembly, and materials consumption of production orders.
• Organize and orchestrate production assembler activities to promote the highest quality standards and achieve On-Time Delivery (capacity planning.)
• Monitor production schedules and communicate potential interruptions to appropriate departments and personnel.
• Reduce costs through efficiencies, continuous improvement processes, and responsible use of resources.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and controlling department budgets in cooperation with MTS Manager.
• Collect, analyze, and formulate data used in the creation of labor standards for MTS products.
• Create, analyze, and present production reports used in measuring KPI's.
• Communicate department and organizational targets, goals, and objectives with direct reports.
• Lead, motivate, and train direct reports to achieve departmental/organizational goals and objectives.
• Conduct employee appraisals in accordance with HR standards and guidelines.
• Assist in the praise/disciplinary process of direct reports in accordance with HR standards and guidelines.
• Responsible for the condition, maintenance, and operation of all department machinery, equipment, and furnishings and ESD.
• Responsible for a safe environment (HSSE/OSHA).
• Maintain department inventories according to stocking policy.
• Interacts with all Belimo departments and personnel related to the execution of department responsibilities, targets, goals, and objectives.
• Responsible for housekeeping, organization, and general condition of responsible areas.
• Some interaction with customers, vendors, consultants, visitors, and other external resources as communicated by the Manager, Production, VP of Production, or Head of Global Manufacturing.

Who You Are

• Associate degree or higher preferred
• ERP experience
• Minimum 4 years supervisory experience
• Background in manufacturing
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Ability to communicate in written and verbal form to professional standards
• Manage time constraints, deadlines, and multiple priorities

• Detail oriented, organized, and efficient

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,000 - $83,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. Belimo is a total compensation company which includes a comprehensive benefits package including a full range of medical, financial, and other competitive benefits.
