Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the Raw area of manufacturing, directing a team of hourly employees and ensuring safety, GMP, and quality procedures are followed.

You will use production scheduling tools, monitor outputs and quality to meet customer and food safety requirements, and coach staff while upholding company values. A high school diploma and 2+ years of supervisory experience are required, with ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Experience in food or pet food production preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations in the assigned area using production scheduling tools.
• Ensure policies and procedures related to employee and food safety and environmental compliance are followed by direct reports.
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to meet customer and food safety requirements.
• Oversee quality standards and address deviations as necessary.
• Perform audits for quality and safety and share results with others.
• Ensure work instructions, processes and procedures are followed.
• Develop, supervise and coach direct reports, including reinforcing company values and guiding principles.
• Understand and manage the production budget for the area and collaborate on the overall production budget.
• Know production line standard rate and be able to explain KPIs to management.
• Know yield performance and standards.

Golden Pet Manufacturing is looking for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising and directing manufacturing operations in the Raw area. This role will lead a team of direct reports and must be able to manage tasks and productivity of the assigned area. This role is also responsible for following all safety, GMP, and quality procedures and providing an example for others to follow.

YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE...

• Utilize production scheduling tools to direct and maintain daily operations within assigned area
• Execute routine operations of assigned area, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and food safety and environmental compliance
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
• Oversee the quality standards within respective area; ensure quality standards are being followed and address deviations as necessary
• Perform audits for quality and safety; share results with others and identify opportunities for improvement
• Responsible for ensuring work instructions, process and procedures are being followed
• Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports, including coaching company values and guiding principles for the facility
• Understand and manage the production budget for assigned area; collaborate with other Production Supervisors on the overall production budget
• Must know and understand what the production line standard rate is and be able to interpret and explain KPIs to management
• Must be able to know and understand yield performance and standards

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL LOOK LIKE...

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Experience working in food production or pet food production is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify challenges and potential solutions
• Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and mentor large teams of hourly employees
• Ability to priority and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks and projects
