Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in the Raw area, supervising a team and ensuring adherence to safety, GMP and quality standards.

You will use scheduling tools, monitor performance and budgets, coach hourly staff, and communicate KPIs up to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience in food or pet food production is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor large hourly teams.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and direct daily operations for the assigned area using production scheduling tools.
• Ensure reports follow safety, GMP, and quality procedures.
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to meet specs.
• Oversee quality standards and address deviations.
• Perform audits for quality and safety and share results.
• Ensure work instructions and procedures are followed.
• Develop and coach direct reports with company values.

Golden Pet Manufacturing is looking for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising and directing manufacturing operations in the Raw area. This role will lead a team of direct reports and must be able to manage tasks and productivity of the assigned area. This role is also responsible for following all safety, GMP, and quality procedures and providing an example for others to follow.

YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE...

• Utilize production scheduling tools to direct and maintain daily operations within assigned area
• Execute routine operations of assigned area, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and food safety and environmental compliance
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
• Oversee the quality standards within respective area; ensure quality standards are being followed and address deviations as necessary
• Perform audits for quality and safety; share results with others and identify opportunities for improvement
• Responsible for ensuring work instructions, process and procedures are being followed
• Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports, including coaching company values and guiding principles for the facility
• Understand and manage the production budget for assigned area; collaborate with other Production Supervisors on the overall production budget
• Must know and understand what the production line standard rate is and be able to interpret and explain KPIs to management
• Must be able to know and understand yield performance and standards
