Position Summary

The most successful Receiving Supervisor motivates employees to resolve issues and make good decisions to meet departmental and plant goals in safety, production, and quality. This role supervises our 1st shift Receiving team members, ensuring a clean, safe work area, compliance with policies, programs, and standard work procedures, and achieving production goals.

Job Description

Responsibilities include motivating team members, maintaining safety standards, and supervising daily operations of the Receiving team during the first shift.

Accountabilities

• Ensure team understands goals and objectives.
• Adapt to changing demands and structure.
• Provide clear direction and handle issues effectively, building team trust.
• Complete PIT inspection checklists and enter work orders for issues.
• Train team members on the Infolink system.
• Investigate PIT impacts and document findings.
• Conduct trailer inspections and safety checks.
• Monitor WIP replenishment to meet production goals.
• Manage yard/dock operations for timely unloading.
• Oversee team performance to meet receiving metrics.
• Support quality department with defective materials and redzone management.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
• Experience with Lean Process Improvement.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments.
• Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
• Commitment to safety and a clean workplace.
• Problem-solving skills, resilience, and accountability.
• Ability to read measurements, use handheld tools, and lift/move materials up to 50 lbs.
