Job Details:

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. It requires an understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Ensuring every position is filled before start-up of production line.
  • Overseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
  • Ensuring all machinery performs optimally.
  • Ensuring all workstations pass USDA Inspection.
  • Promoting safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
  • Ensuring accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding.
  • Communicating company benefits and policies to Team Members.
  • Providing encouragement to build a strong team.
  • Performing human relations functions such as training, retention, and counseling.
  • Overseeing processing operations and collaborating with other supervisors on problem-solving.
  • Keeping records of reworked or returned products.
  • Providing ongoing education on quality importance.
  • Performing other responsibilities as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: 1+ years in manufacturing; supervisory experience preferred.

Education: High school diploma; additional education or training preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills required.

Supervisory: Responsible for supervising personnel performing related tasks.

Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
