Job Description

Job Summary:

The Supervisor Production is responsible for directing all activities within the assigned area of the production departments. Ensures the on-time production of quality products while handling the daily supervision of the departmental personnel.

Essential functions of the job:

  1. Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing operation to ensure the obtainment of production schedules. Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e., vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
  2. Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start-up meetings.
  3. Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standards are followed.
  4. Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operators are certified and the operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
  5. Compile KPI data and populate end-of-shift reports. Distribute to managers and appropriate operations and support personnel.
  6. Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.
  7. Ensure compliance with team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs, and procedures that pertain to production team members.
  8. Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
  9. Participate in Team Leader meetings and quality initiatives.
  10. Conduct daily reviews of processes and personnel to identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) opportunities.

Required Education:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

Required qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in production.
  • 1-3 years of experience within the automotive industry.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants, which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
