Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in New Hampshire seeks a production supervisor to direct and coordinate activities in manufacturing. You will plan production operations, review schedules and ensure safety and quality, while engaging employees and resolving issues.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, Lean training, strong MS Office skills, and a HS diploma (Bachelor's preferred). The 4th shift runs 6:00am–6:00pm Fri–Mon.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Manufacturing experience is required for this role.
• Kaizen and/or Lean training is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) is expected.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of production departments in manufacturing.
• Plan production operations, priorities, and schedules to meet deliveries.
• Review orders, ensure product data and specifications align with plans.
• Maintain safety culture and enforce company safety regulations.
• Resolve operational issues and optimize costs and delays.
• Inspect machines and equipment for optimal utilization.
• Develop or revise standard operating procedures and practices.
• Address worker grievances through the proper supervisory channels.
• Compile and retrieve production data for reporting.

Job Overview

Directs and coordinates activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Shift Hours are 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday thru Friday

• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to assure efficient, safe delivery of high‑quality products to customers.
• Maintain high levels of employee engagement by developing employee skills, being accessible to employees, and addressing concerns and other practices and activities.
• Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Resolve worker grievances or submit unsettled grievances to production superintendent for action.
• Compile stores and retrieve production data.
