Job summary

Sibelco Nordic Ab is seeking a Production Supervisor Day Shift at the Spruce Pine, NC site. You will supervise production activities, ensure safe operations, and coordinate with the scheduler to meet the production plan.

You will lead and develop the production team, balance customer demands with quality and cost, and uphold Get to Zero safety standards while driving continuous improvement and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in mineral processing or similar environment.
• Experience leading people and teams.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of safety rules and technical regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production activities at the site in a safe, healthy manner.
• Coordinate with the production scheduler and manager to meet the schedule.
• Balance customer demands with quality, quantity, efficiency and cost.
• Motivate and develop team members to improve collaboration and growth.

Production Supervisor Day Shift

Location: Spruce Pine, NC

Your Impact in This Role

• Supervise the production activities in the site and ensure the activities are performed in a safe and healthy way.
• Ensure activities are performed according to the production schedule by aligning with the production scheduler and if needed with production manager/operations manager when problems arise and/or the production schedule cannot be met.
• Strive to obtain the optimal balance between customer demands and specifications in relation to quality, quantity, efficiency, and cost.
• Motivate and evaluate the team members to enhance team collaboration and support their individual development and growth.

What You Bring to the Table

• Sibelco prioritizes safety with 'Get to Zero,' our global safety improvement program. Eliminating injuries is our goal, centered on safe plants, systems, and behaviors.
• Previous experience operating within a mineral processing or similar work environment is preferred.
• Experience with leading people and teams is preferred.
• Proficient in English. Other languages are an asset
• Knowledge of general technical regulations and safety rules
• Fluency in the local language and written and spoken English.
