The Production Supervisor will be a key member of our cold-smoked processing team, responsible for leading a group of Production Associates within the processing and packaging departments. This role is focused on achieving departmental and line objectives while upholding standards for safety, quality, yield, efficiency, and cost control. The Supervisor will play an active role in hiring, training, and developing team members in alignment with company policies, procedures, and culture. A strong emphasis on employee engagement and a shared commitment to customer satisfaction are essential to success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have a proven and verifiable track record of successfully leading and developing teams. Preference will be given to individuals with experience driving change by fostering high levels of employee engagement to achieve organizational goals. This individual must be capable of making sound decisions with minimal supervision, demonstrating accountability and strong leadership while upholding company culture. A commitment to prioritizing employee well-being and consumer safety is essential. Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.

What You Will Do At Acme

  • Ensure all daily manufacturing reporting and use of SAP, ERP and WMS systems are completed to appropriately track performance and yields.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss team goals, and to reinforce techniques/ processes in the areas of safety (OSHA), manufacturing, quality and food safety.
  • Ensure that Production Associates are processing product lines in full accordance with HACCP, GMP, FDA, BRC, Acme & RC Creations requirements.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, teambuilding and written performance reviews for direct reports to ensure growth and development to compliment company culture.
  • Ability to prioritize / adjust quickly to a rapidly changing work environment with minimal supervision to meet internal and external customer needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • The Supervisor will be directly involved in hiring, developing, and training production associates in conjunction with company policies, procedures and culture while maintaining high level of employee engagement and dedication to customer service.

Your Education & Experience

  • BA / B.S. Food Science, Business or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food processing industry.
  • Experience working within an FDA regulated facility preferred.
  • Experience within an SQF or BRC certified manufacturing environment preferred.

Your Skills & Abilities

  • Experience driving change through identifying and implementing process improvements preferred.
  • Ability to coach and develop team members, including soliciting input and listening to ideas for positive change.
  • Previous experience with employee performance review programs and employee assessments.
  • Must be able to work in cold temperature environments.
  • Ability and willingness to work unusual/flexible schedule, including Sundays and early morning schedule as needed.
  • Ability to work across the organization, including quality, sales, procurement, finance, engineering and maintenance.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Take responsibility with a "Can do spirit and attitude".

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Frequent hand motion.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to work in temperatures in upper 30's range with air flow from refrigeration units.
  • Exposure to low level of noise due to close proximity to the work area.
  • Exposure to uneven ground; floor angles toward the drainage systems.

  • Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
  • Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
