Job Summary

The Patient Access and Pre-Access Supervisor oversees daily operations of the patient access/pre-access team, ensuring efficient workflows, staff performance, and adherence to revenue cycle goals. The role includes scheduling management, KPI monitoring, regulatory compliance, coaching, and partnership with clients to optimize front-end processes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all registration and pre-registration duties with direct and indirect reporting employees.
  • Manage staff scheduling, including rotation, time off, and call-offs, to minimize overtime while maximizing productivity.
  • Provide training, coaching, and corrective action to staff; conduct audits and continual education.
  • Monitor daily productivity and report on key metrics such as point of service, wait times, overtime, and productivity.
  • Lead on-call rotation days, nights, and weekends; provide administrative guidance to staff via telephone.
  • Develop, implement, and track departmental process and procedure changes; manage assigned projects related to process improvements.
  • Assist with staff evaluations, maintain time/attendance records, and participate in facility meetings to ensure process alignment.
  • Collaborate with Client and Vendor teams to resolve complex patient and operational issues.
  • Maintain regulatory and organizational compliance, including collection process tracking and monitoring.
Required Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in healthcare or business settings.
  • Associate degree (2‑year) or Bachelor’s degree (4‑year).
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business.
  • Proven ability to lead and direct teams, with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and hospital billing processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced usage of AI and experience managing teams using AI to improve processes.
  • Experience with AI experimentation, exploration, and application in a business setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and track technology-enabled process improvements.
Licenses & Certifications

Certified Healthcare Access Management (CHAM) and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certifications required.

Compensation

Starting salary of $47,400 annually. Compensation may be increased based on experience. Additional benefits include bonus incentives, paid certifications, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, and career advancement opportunities.
