Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Manager of Patient Access to oversee the Patient Access department, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance. Job description

Overview

Ensemble is a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems, hospitals, and affiliated physician groups. The Manager of Patient Access will plan, develop, organize, and manage the Patient Access department, ensuring performance, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance while supporting the organization’s revenue cycle and customer service goals.

Responsibilities
  • Directly manage operations for the admitting, registration, and financial services departments at acute care locations.
  • Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity/compliance checks, provide patient instructions, collect insurance information, and process physician orders.
  • Manage Financial Service Representatives and ensure proper accounting processes, cash drawer balance, timely deposits, accurate postings to patient accounts, and proper logging.
  • Develop and manage staffing needs, prepare monthly reports, and establish departmental goals to optimize performance and meet organizational financial objectives.
  • Coordinate employee work schedules to provide adequate daily staffing coverage.
  • Collect, interpret, and communicate performance data using tools and systems to make decisions that achieve performance goals.
  • Work with internal and external customers to influence decisions affecting the organization or individual patients.
  • Collaborate with ancillary departments to maintain positive relations and support revenue cycle goals.
  • Assist in developing dyad-reporting patient access staff and provide training, education, goal-setting, and performance interventions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification – required.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification – required.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in patient access, managed care/insurance, or call center operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Advanced usage of AI and experience managing teams with AI-driven process improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare Management/Administration – preferred.

Compensation

$63,100 – $78,875 per year based on experience.

Location

This is an on-site role at the hospital. Candidates must be able to work on-site at the assigned facility.
