ID Logistics (IDL) is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Somerset, NJ. The role leads a warehousing team, assigns tasks, coaches staff, and reports to senior management to improve safety and efficiency.

You will ensure GMP for food-grade warehouse, coordinate vacations and time sheets, monitor daily safety, and maintain inventory accuracy. Requirements include 2+ years in a supervisory warehousing role, a high school diploma or GED (some college), and strong verbal/written communication.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment for the customer's product, associates, and temporary workers.
• Follows established operational procedures for verification of shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and inventory accuracy.
• Builds a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates.
• Helps maintain attendance and tardiness records.
• Monitors daily compliance with safety procedures.
• Investigates accidents and prepares reports.
• Provides on-the-job coaching and training to ensure associate skills are maintained at desired levels.
• Helps coordinate vacations, payroll, and time sheets for associates and temporary workers; address complaints and concerns.
• Oversee hourly associates.
• Maintain proper GMP for food-grade warehouse.

Position Overview:

The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in managing their team's workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for coaching and resolving issues.

Compensation/Benefits: Attractive annual salary of $72,000- $80,000 plus bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.

• Provides on-the-job coaching and training needed to ensure associate skills are maintained at desired levels.
• Helps coordinate vacations, payroll, and time sheets for associates and temporary workers, complaints and associate concerns productivity and quality of work.
• Oversee hourly associates.
• Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food grade warehouse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college level study is required.
• 2+ years experience in a supervisor warehousing role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suites experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Inventory experience a plus
• Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus
