Job summary

NDC, Inc. seeks a nighttime Distribution Center supervisor to oversee picking, packing, receiving and shipping within the night shift. You will lead ~45 employees, design workflows, monitor inventory throughput and implement process rules in the WMS to maintain accurate stock levels and on-time shipments.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, IT and Customer Service to resolve discrepancies, manage payroll/hiring matters, and ensure safety and data confidentiality across all duties.

**Job Summary:**This position has responsibility for Picking, Packing, Receiving, Shipping, and Logistics Operations for the night shift Distribution Center. Directs and controls all elements of the distribution process, operating within capital and operating budget parameters.* Provide a safe work environment that includes daily monitoring of employee activities, providing constructive feedback, and weekly safety training events.* Highly flexible and long hours work scheduled.* Provide management of the daily Picking, Packing, Receiving, and Shipping -related activities within the NDC Distribution Center, including providing leadership to approximately 45 employees. Responsibilities to include designing process workflows and overall departmental productivity.* Monitor receipt transactions and suggest changes that reduce inventory shrinkage. Set up process rules in the WMS to help ensure proper flow of inventory movements.* Perform administrative functions for these areas to include the coordination of component special requests, payroll reconciliation, hiring and other personnel decisions.* Create, modify, and execute various reports from various sources including WMS, ERP, TMS and Sales Cube or other data mining tools to monitor inventory movement and capacity to ensure effective slotting is being achieved, and inventory issues are being corrected.* Work directly with various areas including Purchasing, Information Technology and Customer Service to research and resolve inventory variations between systems, and customer inquiries.* Proactively manage damaged shipments and lot-control information to ensure high in-stock levels and customer satisfaction.* Proactively manage employee relations. This includes meetings, feedback sessions, and initiating problem solving as needed.* All employees are expected to protect the confidentiality of patient health information.* Perform other duties as assigned## Qualifications**Required Skills and Experience:*** Prior experience supervising a team required.* Excellent people skills, motivational ability and a positive attitude are key to success.* Ability to proactively solve problems is critical.* Personal Computer/System literacy is required as well as proficiency with distribution software including Strong Microsoft Office, Google Docs, WMS, TMS, ERP data warehousing tools such as Sales Cube, COGNOS, or Business Objects.* HAZMAT training or certification desired.* Bi-lingual or multi-lingual proficiency preferred.
