Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Dallas, TX is seeking a Supervisor Operations for the 3rd night shift on a 9/80 schedule. You will supervise an Operations team, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality goals are realized for an assigned area.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily manufacturing activities, ensuring quality, addressing issues, driving continuous improvement with Lean Six Sigma, hiring and developing staff, and supporting safety and company culture.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of an assigned manufacturing area.
  • Ensure product/service quality through proper utilization of resources and adherence to applicable standards.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Lead activities to resolve issues and problems, identifying root cause and implementing corrective action.
  • Monitor and enable internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement through deployment of best practices such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Maintain and continuously improve areas impacting Team Member safety.
  • Hire, manage career development, and assess performance of assigned team members.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
  • Attend applicable internal or external customer meetings.
  • Participate on special project teams.
  • Support new product introduction activities.

Job Summary

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.. (Manufacturing technology, Industrial Engineering etc,technical degree preferred)
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proficient technical expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. (Manufacturing technology, Industrial Engineering etc,technical degree preferred)
  • New College Graduate preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proficient technical expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • PMP Certificate
  • Green/Black Certificte
