Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to coordinate department activities, mentor staff, and lead performance improvements within the Rehabilitation Team. Candidates should have a B.S. in OT, Georgia licensure, and 3+ years in a licenced discipline, including hospital experience.

CPR for all ages is required. The role emphasizes education, collaboration with care teams, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
• Licensed by the Georgia State Board.
• Three (3) years' experience in licensed discipline, with at least one (1) year experience in a hospital environment.
• Ability to work independently and communicate tactfully.
• Must demonstrate ability to coordinate and direct activities, procedures and personnel.
• Knowledgeable in rehab regulations, billing, and reimbursement, and CMS guidelines (example, G-Codes).
• Must be certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of assigned departments, including staff & student orientation, training, competency checks, scheduling, and e-time.
• Act as liaison between departments, patient care units, and other medical personnel.
• Assist leadership with performance improvement activities.
• Work with age groups defined by clinical competency (neonate to elderly) and provide patient and family education, ensuring quality customer service.

Works with age groups defined by clinical competency which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.

REQUIRED:

• 1. B.S. degree or higher from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
• 2. Licensed by the appropriate Georgia State Board.
• 3. Three (3) years' experience in licensed discipline, with at least one (1) year experience in a hospital environment.
• 4. Ability to work independently and communicate tactfully.
