This position plays a key role in delivering consistent customer experience by holding the field to high expectations — from the fiber drop to final light levels — while supporting efficient, scalable operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Contractor & Field Operations Supervision

  • Ensure contractors consistently meet installation quality, safety, productivity, and customer experience standards.
  • Coordinate work assignments, schedules, and service priorities across new installs, trouble calls, and plant maintenance.
  • Serve as an escalation point for contractor performance, workmanship issues, safety incidents, and customer concerns.
Fiber Installation & Maintenance Oversight
  • Oversee fiber drop installations, inside wiring, ONT placement, splicing, testing, and turn‑up activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards for:
    • Fiber placement (aerial & underground)
    • Splicing, testing, and light‑level acceptance
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Conduct regular job site audits and inspections for workmanship, safety compliance, and customer experience.
  • Enforce OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies, including ladder use, traffic control, and aerial/underground work practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce repeat work, truck rolls, and safety incidents.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with internal teams including Network Engineering, Construction, Customer Experience, Network Operations Center, and Sales Channels.
  • Support onboarding, training, and qualification of new technicians.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on field performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in fiber network operations, installation, maintenance, or OSP construction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third‑party fiber contractors in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of FTTH architectures, including aerial and underground plant.
  • Working knowledge of fiber testing, splicing standards, and acceptance criteria.
  • Proven ability to lead field teams, enforce standards, and resolve issues independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a fiber‑only ISP or municipal FTTH environment.
  • Knowledge of construction and maintenance workflows for all‑fiber networks.
  • Familiarity with field workforce supervision tools, QC platforms, or ticketing systems.
  • FOA certification or equivalent fiber training (or willingness to obtain).
