Description:
The Supervisor of Phlebotomy will conduct Phlebotomy and provide the administrative support to the Phlebotomy program throughout the University of Illinois Hospital and Healthcare Institution to achieve an effective and efficient phlebotomy service with an emphasis on quality patient care and high patient satisfaction. The Supervisor of Phlebotomy will supervise Phlebotomists throughout the UI Health sites, including evaluating their work performance, establishing workflows, assigning work, scheduling vacation, coordinate training, and setting work schedules. They will be responsible for the maintenance of supplies, records, and reports. Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
1. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling six (6) years (72 months), from the categories below:
A. college training with a major in biological sciences or closely related field
B. progressively responsible work experience in a clinical pathology facility which must include: hematology, urinalysis, fecal analysis, clinical chemistry, exfoliative cytology, anatomic pathology and any other ancillary procedure.
