DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking an Ocean Import Supervisor in the USA to manage the import process for ocean freight shipments and supervise a team of export staff. You will ensure compliance with customs and company policies while coordinating with carriers and internal stakeholders.

The role requires 3–5 years in ocean import operations including supervisory experience, strong communication, and analytical skills, with proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred. However, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ocean import operations, including experience in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Summary
An Ocean Import Supervisor is responsible for managing the import process for ocean freight shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies. Educational Background / Work Experience

Supervisory Responsibilities (if Any)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Customs Broker (CCB) designation
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems
  • Knowledge of import regulations and procedures for other transportation modes (air, land)
Language Skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems is required.
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems may be preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $66,600 - $99,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
