Job summary

An Ocean Import Supervisor is responsible for managing the import process for ocean freight shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies. This position supervises a team of ocean import freight forwarders and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the ocean import department
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies

Educational background / Work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Customs Broker (CCB) designation
• Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems
• Knowledge of import regulations and procedures for other transportation modes (air, land)

Language skills

• Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems is required.
• Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems may be preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $76,032.00 - 95,040.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
