Job summary

UW Health in Madison (East Madison Hospital) seeks a Supervisor for Occupational and Physical Therapy to lead OT/PT staff, plan staffing and recruit for future needs, and shape therapy programs, procedures and protocols. You will ensure high-quality patient care as an OT or PT within a hospital setting.

The role offers 100% FTE (40 hours/week) with 8-hour day shifts Mon–Fri and occasional weekend coverage, emphasizing leadership and program development in a top-tier healthcare system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy – Required.
  • Master's Degree in related field or health-care administration – Preferred.
  • Doctorate Degree in related field or health-care administration – Preferred.
  • 3 years of OT or PT experience – Required.
  • Wisconsin OT and PT licensure – Required.
  • CPR/AED certification – Required.

Work Schedule

We are seeking a Supervisor, Occupational and Physical Therapy to:

  • Provide team‑based leadership for occupational and physical therapy staff.
  • Manage long‑range planning for staffing levels, including recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Develop and manage the therapy team’s programs, procedures, and protocols.
  • Provide remarkable patient care as outlined in the clinician position description as an occupational or physical therapist.

Work Experience

Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Wisconsin – Required.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin – Required.
  • Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator – Required.
