Neurodiagnostic Tech Supervisor – Stanford Health Care

Under the supervision of the department manager and the Medical Director, the Neurodiagnostic Tech Supervisor provides management of the Neurodiagnostic Tech team, including supervision, training, and staff development. The role defines and enforces clinical protocols, maintains equipment, and may perform clinical duties such as EMG, EEG, EP, and nerve conduction studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and management of the Neurodiagnostic Tech team members.
• Meet with staff to implement, manage, and enforce clinical/practice protocols and procedures.
• Supervise and aid in the educational development of students, residents, and fellows through in‑service training and daily work reviews.
• Establish and maintain laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Communicate progress, problems, and trends to the department manager.
• Maintain equipment in proper working condition; calibrate and adjust as needed; troubleshoot and report problems.
• Perform nerve conduction studies, EEG, cEEG, LTM, IONM, and TCD as assigned; assist physicians with EMG testing.
• Utilize cutting‑edge technology to manage knowledge and support decision‑making in patient care.
• Coordinate scheduling and assignment of technical staff to achieve optimum patient service and efficient workflow.
• Work with staff to identify and resolve technical problems in electromyography, EEG, and EP.

Education Qualifications

• Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation and/or equivalent formal training approved by the Medical Director.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

• Knowledge of multiple electrode application techniques.
• Skill in EEG pattern recognition for clinical descriptive information.
• Good technical aptitude.
• Must be able to work on‑call shifts as needed.

Licenses and Certifications

• Required to hold two of the following licenses/certifications:
• Registered EEG Technologist – R. EEG T. (ABRET)
• Certification for Autonomic Professionals – CAP (ABRET)
• Registered Evoked Potential Technologist – R. EP T. (ABRET)
• Certification of Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring – CNIM (ABRET)
• Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist – CNCT (AANEM)
• Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist – R.NCS.T. (AAET)
• Certification for Long Term Monitoring – CLTM (ABRET)

Compensation

Base pay scale: Generally starting at $66.52 – $88.14 per hour. Final salary will be based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
