Tempus seeks a Supervisor, Molecular Lab in Chicago to oversee the cutting-edge sequencing workflow, ensuring rapid turnaround and high-quality data from extraction through sequencing. You will monitor processes, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement in analytic performance.

You will mentor technologists, schedule training, uphold safety protocols, and leverage automation to standardize the pipeline.

Qualifications

• MD or PhD/MS/BS with documented clinical lab experience as listed.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to delegate tasks.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary lab environment.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience with clinical molecular workflows and lab compliance is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily oversight of a cutting-edge molecular workflow to deliver high-quality next-generation sequencing data with rapid turnaround times.
• Monitor laboratory processes to ensure analytic performance; review quality control, instrument maintenance, and quality assurance activities.
• Assure remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from performance specifications.
• Perform quality review for samples within the sequencing workflow from extraction to sequencing.
• Maintain CLIA/CAP/ NYSDOH compliance.
• Schedule training and competency assessments for personnel.
• Mentor team of clinical molecular technologists and extraction technologists.
• Maintain safety within the laboratory and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Utilize automation and robotics to standardize the discovery pipeline from sample acquisition to sequencing output.
• Schedule training and onboarding for new hires.
