Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and five years of related operational experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least one summer internship in mining/industrial.
  • Additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement production plans according to approved schedule.
  • Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff.

Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

What You Will Do
  • Assign, supervise, and review the work of staff for assigned work unit.
  • Implement production plans according to approved schedule.
  • May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult.
  • Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.
  • Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
  • Prepare estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and materials.
  • Approve purchases of materials and equipment, maintain time, materials and equipment use reports.
  • Request tools, supplies, materials and equipment
  • Train staff in safety procedures
  • Maintain safety data sheets for crews.
  • Perform other duties as required.
What You Bring To Freeport
  • High School diploma or GEDandfive (5) years of related operational experience,includingsupervisory or lead experience;OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related disciplinewithat least one (1) summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment.
  • Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
  • Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
  • Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects.
  • Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$90,000-$124,500.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
