Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead a mechatronics maintenance team and drive performance using mechanical, electrical, and software skills across robotics and automated systems. You will oversee preventive maintenance, design-improvement recommendations, and critical inspections to prevent breakdowns, while coordinating with stakeholders in a high-demand environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong analytical skills, and experience with AS9100/ISO

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining Industrial Electronic and Electrical systems (academic coursework counts)
• Ability to work at heights up to 125 feet and pass Fall Protection Training
• Flexible schedule incl. overtime and weekends
• Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; knowledge of engineering science and design techniques
• Proficiency in computers and electronics; knowledge of production processing
• Certification or higher in Mechatronics, Industrial Robotics, Electronics, or Engineering
• 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
• Warehousing or 3PL experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise the mechatronics maintenance team and provide coaching
• Utilize mechanical, electrical, computer, and software skills with smart technologies (robots, automated systems)
• Perform preventive maintenance and operational equipment checks
• Repair electrical and mechanical components using schematics and tools
• Recommend facility and equipment design improvements to stakeholders
• Conduct critical preventive-maintenance inspections to prevent breakdowns
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports and share with stakeholders
• Work around electromagnetic fields and in high-noise environments
• Operate at heights and in confined spaces with ladders and lifts
• Lift and move equipment as required

Job description

• Supervise the mechatronics maintenance team
• Provide training and coaching to improve team performance
• Utilize mechanical, electrical, computer, and software skills with smart technologies, including robots, automated guided systems, and computer-integrated manufacturing equipment
• Perform continuous operational equipment checks and preventive maintenance
• Repair and replace defective electrical and mechanical equipment components using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, hoists, gantry cranes, and hand and power tools
• Act as a subject matter expert and recommend facility and equipment design improvements to stakeholders
• Perform critical preventive-maintenance inspections to prevent breakdowns or significant overhauls
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports and charts and share information with stakeholders
• Work around electromagnetic fields and in high-noise environments
• Operate at heights, in confined spaces, and with ladders, lifts, mobile equipment, and foot controls
• Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment of various weights

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience maintaining Industrial Electronic and Electrical systems; related academic coursework in Industrial Electronics/Robotics/Mechatronics counts towards experience
• Ability to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level and pass Fall Protection Training
• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
• Strong mathematical skills

• Strong knowledge of design techniques and tools
