Qnity is seeking a day shift First Line Leader to support a continuous manufacturing operation in Newark, DE. You will lead a production team, drive safety and quality, and align staffing with production needs. Expect regular floor presence and flexible hours to meet business demands.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar setting.
  • Previous people leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and operations.
  • Knowledge of process safety and personal safety principles.
  • Experience using digital tools and systems.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Monitors and makes adjustments to controllable costs for shift (i.e. overtime, operating supplies)
  • Completes Leader Standard Work practices, including frequent line walks
  • Initiates awards and recognition for individuals and/or teams, and celebrates area’s accomplishments
  • Organizes and manages staffing levels to ensure adequate support for production needs
  • Addresses employee relations and performance issues effectively during the shift.
  • Able to provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled, on a regular basis
  • Able to work overtime as needed
Qualifications

Hours and Shift

This is a day shift leadership position supporting a continuous manufacturing operation.

The First Line Leader is expected to maintain a regular presence on the production floor and will be required to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, holidays, and overtime, to support business needs, production requirements, and employee development.
