Job summary

Tempur Sealy is a leading bedding company with a history of design and innovation. We seek a maintenance-focused professional to oversee installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across our mattress production processes.

You will supervise maintenance staff and contractors, ensure safety and timely production, and collaborate with leadership to meet production goals at our Phoenix facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience with manufacturing, mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, HVAC, pumps, piping, and PLCs.
• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Certifications in Arc flash, HAZWOPER, forklift operation, or ability to obtain them.
• Certificates/licenses in electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, boilers, or PLC controls are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical processes in mattress production.
• Manage and maximize output and longevity of plant equipment.
• Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical/mechanical theories and local/national codes.
• Direct maintenance staff, contractors, and OEMs to ensure safety and timely production.
• Collaborate with Plant Director and Supervisors to meet site production needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

• Maintainresponsibilityfor the installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical and electrical processes used in the manufacture of mattresses, mattress components, and similar bedding products. Such equipment mayinclude:sewing equipment, foam fabrication equipment, motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc.

• Manageand maximize the output ofplant equipmentusedinproduction, functional longevity, and aestheticof the products.

• Plan, delegate,and perform workthatrequires athorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, written specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, andtheprinciples of operation and applicationforelectronic equipment.

• Directly manage all maintenance staff, contractors,OEM’sto ensuresafety,timely production,andcompletion of their projects.

• Collaborate with Plant Director and Department Supervisors to ensure successful accomplishment of thesite’s production needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range 70, 000- 100, 000

What You’ll Need(Qualifications):

• A bachelor’s degree inmechanical or electrical engineering(or equivalentexperience).

• 2yearsofexperiencewithademonstrated understanding ofmanufacturing,mechanical,and electrical systems,including:hydraulic systems, HVAC, low-and high-pressure-pumps, open and closed loop piping systems, and PLC’s.

• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

• Demonstrated experience with computer maintenance management systems.

• Arc flash, HAZWOPER, and forklift operator’scertifications, or the ability to obtain the certifications.

• Certificates or licenses in electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, boilers, or PLC Controls are preferred.
