Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of Technicians and drive maintenance activities while upholding safety standards. You will oversee preventative maintenance, coordinate cross‑functional work, and ensure timely resolution of issues to protect network performance.

Qualified candidates bring 4+ years in optical/coax maintenance, 1+ year supervisory experience, and an electronics-related associate degree with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

  • Certifications such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E.
  • 4+ years construction or maintenance of optical and coax distribution networks.
  • 1+ years supervisory experience in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Maintenance Technicians to meet quality and productivity goals.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance to optimize network reliability.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and proper documentation.
  • Resolve escalated line problems per procedures.
  • Collaborate across departments for smooth operations and projects.
  • Plan small projects including testing, relocations, and restoration.

As a Maintenance Supervisor at Spectrum, lead your team of Technicians to drive maintenance activities and ensure all safety standards are met. How You'll Make An Impact
  • Supervise and mentor your team of Maintenance Technicians to achieve customer satisfaction, technical quality and productivity goals
  • Coordinate demand and preventative maintenance activities to optimize network integrity and reliability
  • Observe and mentor your team on safety, quality, productivity and individual growth
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of escalated line problems in compliance with company procedures
  • Facilitate cross-department collaboration and communication for seamless operations and project completion
  • Plan and execute small projects including FCC testing, plant relocations, preventative maintenance programs, and emergency restoration
  • Maintain accurate records, manage company-issued tools and equipment, and operate company vehicles responsibly
Working Conditions
  • Work indoors or outdoors in varying environments and weather conditions
  • Perform tasks at different heights, near power lines, or in confined spaces
  • Travel or work overtime and weekends as needed for business demands
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Associate's degree in electronics, related field or equivalent
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E
Experience
  • 4+ years construction or maintenance of optical and coax distribution networks or equivalent
  • 1+ years supervisory experience in a technical environment or equivalent work experience preferred
Skills
  • Effective communication, multitasking, supervisory, documentation and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with basic software tools
  • Ability to operate computer and RF/Optical test equipment
  • Knowledge of network devices and appliances
  • Advanced understanding of HFC distribution network
  • Moderate understanding of IP networks, headend operations and customer premise network
  • Familiarity with Spectrum / telecommunications products and services
  • Capability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
  • Skill in using manual and powered tools, handling ladders, taking measurements and working at heights
  • Ability to differentiate wire sizes and colors, make cable connections in tight spaces, and carry equipment over varied terrain
Other
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to drive company vehicle safely and travel to assigned territories

The base pay for this position generally is between $60,900.00 and $97,700.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
