Responsibilities
- Plans and directs maintenance operations to ensure a cost-effective and reliable maintenance operation.
- Coordinates budget development and expenditures.
- Coordinates maintenance activities with Maintenance Control, Planning, and personnel.
- Completes required management reports.
- Trains, mentors, and disciplines subordinates according to company policy, ensuring maintenance meets FAA and company standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.
- Analyzes and improves line maintenance workflow efficiently.
- Effectively presents ideas to the Manager - Aircraft Maintenance.
- Communicates effectively with subordinates, peers, and vendors.
- Utilizes and adapts to standard MS computer software and other tools.
- Performs other responsibilities as circumstances require, such as emergencies or workload changes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A&P License required; FCC desirable.
- Valid state driver’s license and Passport.
- Willing to travel for AOG aircraft.
- 5-10 years of commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience at a regional or above airline.
- Current FAA certification of parts and materials.
- 2-3 years of hands-on leadership with the A320 Family preferred.
- Experience with Airbus Aircraft (A319, A320, A321) preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar programs.
- Ability to multitask under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalogue, Schematics, and ATA codes.
- Proven experience supervising gate operations, coordinating maintenance activities, and developing technical skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work off stands and lift trucks, and perform physical tasks.
- Domestic and international travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Must be present at the worksite 100% of the time.
