VulcanForms Inc. in Devens, MA, seeks a Supervisor, Machining Operations to oversee daily CNC machining operations and staff. Reports to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering; role is Monday–Friday with some weekend hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and train the machining staff of the assigned area.
• Lead, coach, and support the team to reach maximum throughput.
• Conduct daily standup meetings and discuss goals and needs.
• Prepare daily reports against planned manufacturing targets.
• Ensure machinists and operators have the materials, tools and documents for the shift.
• Identify areas of improvement and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Enforce OSHA standards and take corrective action.
• Perform 5S and Lean projects.
• Perform in‑process inspections and some QC functions.
• Troubleshoot and support machining and train operators in basic problem solving.

Job Purpose

As the Supervisor, Machining Operations at VulcanForms in Devens, MA, you are responsible for overseeing the assigned area's daily operations, productivity, and staff. Reporting to Director, Manufacturing Engineering, the successful candidate will help develop the workforce requirements, process task times, and evaluate the performance of the manufacturing production staff. This position is a Monday through Friday, split shift, with some weekend hours when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and trainthe manufacturingstaff of the assigned area
• Lead, coach, and support the team's growth to reachmaximumthroughput
• Conduct daily standup meetings, discussing goals, needs, and solutions
• Prepare daily reports against planned manufacturing targets
• Ensure all machinists, operators have the necessarymaterials;tools and documents are adequate for an upcoming shift
• Identifyareas of improvement andcollaborate withcross-functionalteams
• Enforcement of OSHA standards and corrective action
• Perform 5S and Lean projects
• Able to perform some in-process inspections and some QC functions
• Be able to trouble shoot and support machining as needed, as well as train operators to perform basic problem solving

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in acomponent(CNC) manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team within aCNC manufacturing environmentfor machining.
• Experience in manufacturing for a regulated industry.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Software, ERP Systems(EPICOR),Outlook, and others as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or equivalent, or work equivalent.
• Excited about taking on new challenges in a fast-paced environment (3D PrintingManufacturing a plus)
• Self-motivated, hands-on, practical mindsetand willing to jump in when needed.
• ISO 9001 and AS9100 experience

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,960 to $101,695.
