Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Devens, MA seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations, productivity, and staff in a 12-hour shift rotating schedule (6 AM–6 PM, Friday-Sunday with alternating Thursdays).

The role drives workforce development, task timing, and performance evaluation to ensure output targets are met. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing, 2+ years of people management, and proven leadership in high-volume environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years managing a manufacturing team.
• Experience leading in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience across multiple product industries with strict quality standards.
• Self-motivated, hands-on and goal-oriented.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and train manufacturing staff in assigned areas.
• Lead, coach, and support team growth to maximize throughput.
• Conduct daily standup meetings to discuss goals, needs and solutions.
• Prepare daily reports against planned manufacturing targets.
• Ensure materials, tools and documents are ready for each shift.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Forecast production needs and develop implementation plans.
• Enforce OSHA standards and take corrective action.
• Perform 7S and Lean projects.

Job Purpose

As the Production Supervisor at VulcanForms in Devens MA, you are responsible for overseeing the assigned area's daily operations, productivity, and staff. The successful candidate will help develop the workforce requirements, process task times, and evaluate the performance of the manufacturing production staff.

This is a 12-hour position with the hours of 6 AM to 6 PM - Friday - Sunday and alternating Thursdays

Key Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and train manufacturing staff in assigned areas.
• Lead, coach, and support the team's growth to reach maximum throughput.
• Conduct daily standup meetings, discussing goals, needs, and solutions.
• Prepare daily reports against planned manufacturing targets.
• Ensure all personnel have the necessary materials, tools and documents are adequate for an upcoming shift.
• Identify areas of improvement and collaborate cross-functionally on solutions.
• Assess future needs of production and develop plans to implement
• Enforcement of OSHA standards and corrective action.
• Perform 7S and Lean projects.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of 2 years of managing a team of manufacturing professionals.
• Experience leading a team within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in manufacturing across multiple product industries with rigorous quality standards.
• Self-motivated, hands-on, with a practical mindset, and capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Software, ERP Systems (EPICOR), Outlook, and others as needed.

The annual base salary range for this position is $78,500 to $101,000
