Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the JROC Stockroom and Order Fulfillment on the 2nd shift. You will oversee staff, manage processes across configuration, kitting, crane, OEM, and stockroom, and drive accurate, timely fulfillment.

Responsibilities include data analysis, KPI reporting, and labor reallocation with leadership. This role requires strong attention to policy compliance and production control initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
• CPIM / CLTD Certification through APICS or equivalent is desired.
• 5+ years of experience using MRP, ERP, or WMS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, summarize and/or review data; interpret results, report findings and/or make recommendations.
• Contribute to inventory, shipping and receiving to support policies and procedures.
• Provide critical financial information related to demand/build, inventory levels and revenue.
• Manage Inventory Control related tasks that support TCOM.
• Provide KPIs for inventory levels and WIP.
• Monitor timely delivery of material in support of sales order plan.
• Create and roll out processes for inventory reduction and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Support CI initiatives related to production control and material handling.
• Ensure material team adheres to inventory cycle count and year-end WIP counts.
• Set and evaluate department measures per QCS (Quality Cost and Schedule).
• Ensure safe storage of inventory and manage scrap material.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Shift Supervisor to oversee the personnel and processes involved in the JROC Stockroom and Order Fulfillment area. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate completion of tasks across the Configuration, Kitting, Crane, OEM, and the Stockroom.

The Supervisor will supervise and manage the 2nd shift team, ensuring all order fulfillment and Stockroom processes are executed efficiently and accurately. This position will collaborate with other leadership members on the 2nd shift to strategically reallocate labor and resources as needed to meet operational demands. Additionally, the candidate will maintain open communication with the Manager of Inventory Management to provide updates and address any potential issues promptly.

Essential Functions:

• Analyze, summarize and/or review data; interpret results, report findings and/or make recommendations.
• Contribute to the management of the organization’s inventory, shipping and receiving ensuring controls are in place to support corporate policies and procedures.
• Provide critical financial information related to demand/build, inventory levels and revenue.
• Manage Inventory Control related tasks that support TCOM.
• Provide Key Performance Indicators for the organization as it relates to inventory level in stock and work in progress.
• Monitor and review timely delivery of material in support of the sales order plan.
• Create and roll out processes that ensure best practices are used in relation to inventory reduction. This includes lean manufacturing concepts related to inventory reduction.
• Support all CI initiatives related to production control and material handling.
• Ensure the material team adheres to the inventory cycle count program and year end WIP counts.
• Set and evaluate department measures in accordance with QCS (Quality Cost and Schedule).
• Ensure the care, control, and safe storage of inventory is in place at all times.
• Manage scrap material and related material control processes

Qualifications:

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Track record providing leadership and / or supervision to a materials team in a fast-paced environment.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, thesalary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $50,500- $77,788. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
