The Inventory Analyst Supervisor is responsible for maintaining perpetual record integrity in distribution to ensure inventory accuracy through the administration of the cycle‑count program and the thorough analysis and response to miscellaneous issues and receipts. The Inventory Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the functions performed by inventory associates and other staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement a space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost and service standards.
  • Monitor the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards.
  • Implement an effective product locator system and update as necessary.
  • Delegate work and responsibility to subordinates.
  • Oversee scheduled shifts and evaluate the work of inventory staff and subordinates.
  • Analyze daily cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies between physical count and perpetual record.
  • Audit the daily error report and make corrections as necessary.
  • Analyze and publish monthly data from WMS reports indicating monthly and year‑to‑date totals of cycle‑count dollar variances.
  • Analyze stock‑change in/out transactions on material for validity to the product structure.
  • Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues, taking corrective action as appropriate.
  • Serve as distribution leader for Physical Inventory.
  • Gain complete knowledge of the online Inventory Audit Trail to facilitate research toward corrective action.
  • Prepare monthly reports highlighting major problems and updates on projects or assignments.
  • Assist with associate relations and training.
  • Audit warehouse daily for compliance with safety, security, and quality principles and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Transmit e‑mails to DSV representatives and clients when required, write corrective/preventive actions, complete reports for the operations manager, follow up with attendance reports, and write counseling memos and evaluations.
  • Conduct daily startup meetings, encouraging associates to provide feedback and work as a team, and coordinate operations with the manager to ensure completion of daily objectives.
  • Provide good communication and motivational techniques, ensuring all company rules are followed.
  • Provide management with information regarding labor and equipment needs to meet customer demands.
  • Develop team leaders and ensure associate expectations are being met.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Assist management as needed.
  • Work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, when required.
  • Participate in cross‑training activities and serve as a backup associate when needed.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Responsible for inventory leads, associates, and CSR within the department.
  • Ensure training and development of associates related to knowledge of product placement and equipment usage.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • One year of experience working in a logistics, distribution, or related environment.
  • Ability to operate MHE.
Computer Skills
  • Basic computer skills.
  • RF scanning.
  • WMS functions.
Certificates and Licenses

Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
Mathematical Skills
  • Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties related to handling, storing, and distributing client products.
Other Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Ability to work in a range of warehouse temperatures from mild to moderate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1‑3 years’ experience working in an inventory department.

Physical Demands

The role requires bending, walking and standing, sitting, and the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 11–20 pounds. The work environment may involve varying temperatures.

Work Environment

The job is performed in a warehouse setting with low to moderate noise levels. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals is typically minimal.
