Job summary

Team Industrial Services is seeking a Supervisor for our Industrial Cleaners at the GM Lansing Delta Township site. This on-site role oversees a 20-person team, coordinates tasks, inspects work, and serves as the primary on-site contact for the crew.

The position requires 2+ years in supervision and 3+ years in industrial cleaning within the automotive sector, with strong communication, multitasking, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience at the supervisor level.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the automotive or industrial cleaning industry.
• Ability to multitask and anticipate customer needs.
• Independent judgment and strong decision-making.”
• Proven communication with all levels of staff and management.
• Proficiency with general office PC applications.
• Demonstrated reliability, diligence and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to reliably commute to work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 20 employees at the site with Operations Manager.
• Assign and coordinate cleaning tasks based on needs and skill levels.
• Inspect work to ensure company and client standards.
• Serve as onsite point-of-contact for the cleaning team.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and take action.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure work efficiency and adjust as needed.
• Schedule management and on-boarding of new employees.
• Report inefficiencies and incidents to management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.

Pay

Schedule

• Wednesday to Sunday, Day Shift

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Operations Manager to oversee a team of _20_ employees at the site;
• Evaluate, coordinate, and assign cleaning tasks to team members based on need and skill level;
• Inspect all work performed to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations;
• Act as primary onsite point-of-contact for cleaning team for any questions, concerns, or disputes they may have;
• Promptly respond to any customer inquiries and take action as soon as possible;
• Ensure proper inventory of supplies and equipment;
• Ensure efficiency of work and adjust as necessary;
• Effectively manage employee schedules and adjust as necessary;
• Participate in on-boarding and training of new employees;
• Report all inefficiencies, issues, incidents, and other issues to management;
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
• Follow instructions and all safety policies and procedures;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience at the supervisor level;
• Minimum 3 years experience in the automotive or industrial cleaning industry;
• The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask;
• Capable of using independent judgment/solid decision-making skills ability;
• Proven experience interacting effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele;
• Proficiency with general office PC applications;
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail;
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays;
• Must be able to reliably commute to work.
