Job summary

TEAM Group in Lansing is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to lead a cleaning team of 20 at the GM Lansing Delta Township site. You will work with the Operations Manager to coordinate tasks, inspect work, and serve as the on-site point of contact for customers and staff.

The role requires 2+ years supervising, 3+ years in automotive/industrial cleaning, strong communication, and multitasking ability. Schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, day shift; competitive wages and a safety-focused

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience at the supervisor level.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the automotive or industrial cleaning industry.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and multitask.
• Independent judgment and solid decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of staff.
• Proficiency with general office PC applications.
• Flexible with nights, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable commute to work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of ~20 employees at the site in coordination with the Operations Manager.
• Evaluate, coordinate, and assign cleaning tasks based on need and skill level.
• Inspect all work to meet company standards and client expectations.
• Serve as primary on-site point of contact for the cleaning team.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and take corrective action.
• Ensure proper inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Manage employee schedules and adjust as necessary; participate in onboarding and training.
• Report inefficiencies and incidents to management; participate in continuous improvement.

Pay

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Operations Manager to oversee a team of _20_ employees at the site;
• Evaluate, coordinate, and assign cleaning tasks to team members based on need and skill level;
• Inspect all work performed to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations;
• Act as primary onsite point-of-contact for cleaning team for any questions, concerns, or disputes they may have;
• Promptly respond to any customer inquiries and take action as soon as possible;
• Ensure proper inventory of supplies and equipment;
• Ensure efficiency of work and adjust as necessary;
• Effectively manage employee schedules and adjust as necessary;
• Participate in on-boarding and training of new employees;
• Report all inefficiencies, issues, incidents, and other issues to management;
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
• Follow instructions and all safety policies and procedures;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience at the supervisor level;
• Minimum 3 years experience in the automotive or industrial cleaning industry;
• The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask;
• Capable of using independent judgment/solid decision-making skills ability;
• Proven experience interacting effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele;
• Proficiency with general office PC applications;
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail;
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays;
• Must be able to reliably commute to work.
