Job summary

Novolex is hiring a Production Supervisor for our Greensboro, NC facility. The role oversees a production shift, coordinating with the Scheduler to meet daily targets, while ensuring safety and quality. Typical staffing exceeds 40 employees and requires leadership across hiring and training processes.

The position offers a 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am rotating schedule (2-2-3), with full benefits and a 401k match. Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred in business or engineering.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Production Supervisor will manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
• Typically supervises 40+ employees.
• Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees.
• Planning, assigning & directing work.
• Appraising performance.
• Rewards & disciplining employees.
• Addressing complaints & resolving problems.
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
• Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
• Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary.

Compensation

• 70k-80k with full benefits and 401k match

Available Shift

• 7am-7pm 7pm-7am* rotating every 10 weeks from days to nights (7am to 7pm) to (7pm-7am)
• 2-2-3 schedule
