Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production orders and assign to work cells.
  • Oversee purchasing of operating supplies.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling.
  • Oversee quality within work cells.
  • Lead training for equipment operation and safety.
  • Implement Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen) and track SQDC metrics.
  • Coordinate with engineering on process changes.
  • Oversee safety program and maintain safe work environment.
  • Review and report SQDC metrics with cell supervisors.

Job Overview

Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cell designed production/manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements
  • Oversee the daily production order activities and assign production orders to work cells.
  • Oversee purchasing of all operating supplies.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling, coordinate with shipping requirements.
  • Oversee quality of product produced within work cells.
  • Oversee training program for new and existing team members in the proper operation of equipment, manufacturing processes and safety rules of the Company. Develop and implement changes as needed.
  • Implement Lean methodologies for all work cells supervised; Takt time, 5-S, PM, SQDC metrics maintained.
  • Review daily cell metrics using SQDC methodologies. Work with Cell Supervisors to report daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, as needed. Lead and participate in daily reviews on SQDC metrics and GEMBA walk participation.
  • Drive and oversee all continuous improvements in the plant, including process flow and Kaizen activities.
  • Coordinate and work with Engineering on all process-related changes for existing products, including tooling tests.
  • Oversee safety program for all manufacturing operations. Review program for adequacy.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment is maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. (4 Years college) + 2 Years Supervisory experience or Advanced Degree or equivilant work experience.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Previous telecommunications, electrical or electrical distribution experience is a plus but not required.
  • Competency in conversation questions and listening with customers’ concerns.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with team members as well as vendors.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
  • Position requires sitting for extended periods, bending, walking, talking, and arm and finger movement.
Work Environment
  • Work performed in an office environment and manufacturing plant.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $68,800 to $75,000/Year (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
