Job summary

Austin Engineering is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to lead daily shop operations in Mills, Wyoming, overseeing heavy steel fabrication and assembly while ensuring schedules, safety, and quality are met. This role requires hands-on leadership and coordination with Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments.

You will supervise welding and fabrication activities, assign tasks by skill and production needs, and maintain accurate labor and time records.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fabrication and welding of heavy steel assemblies.
• Ensure production schedules are met.
• Assign work based on skill level and production needs.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders.
• Monitor workflow and adjust assignments as needed.
• Maintain accurate time, labor, and production records.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend improvements.
• Assist in employee training and development.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments.
• Report equipment issues per company procedures.

Position Summary
