Job summary

Equinix in Silicon Valley is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to lead a semi-skilled team across data center sites. You will assign tasks, monitor weekly plans, and ensure timely delivery of maintenance and projects.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. It also involves budgeting, vendor coordination, and incident response to keep critical infrastructure running.

• Oversees contractor work to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards.
• Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems.
• Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident.

Responsibilities

Management

• Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and training

Project / Infrastructure Site Management

• Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the datacenters. Executes specified routine tasks. Meets unit targets typically against a weekly plan
• Provides input and guidance towards budget
• Overall site capacity supervision

Vendor Management

• Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards

Testing

• Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems

Incident Management

• Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident

Qualifications

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: United States - SV8 Silicon Valley : 96,000 - 144,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
