Job summary

Saint Luke’s North in KC, Missouri is hiring a Supervisor of Housekeeping to lead and coordinate staff, ensuring a clean and safe hospital environment in patient care and ancillary areas. You will educate new employees, demonstrate techniques, and monitor compliance with JCAHO/OSHA standards while managing inventories and costs.

The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and flexibility, with the ability to work on evenings and rotating weekends/holidays, and to partner with management

The Opportunity :

This person Supervises leads and coordinates employees engaged in maintaining a clean and orderly condition throughout the institution in patient care and ancillary areas. Strives for and ensures customer satisfaction in all areas of responsibility. Assigns routine employees to specific tasks. Records and maintains all documentation as requested by Human Resources and JCAHO standards. Educates and trains new employees. Demonstrates new techniques and equipment. Practices cost containment involving supplies and equipment purchases. Takes periodic inventories. Works with management on any unbudgeted needs. Responsible for the supervision of the environmental services function within the Hospital as follows Provides a clean and safe environment at the Hospital Ensures proper staffing training organization and direction of Environmental Services Associates Ensures compliance with JCAHO and OSHA recommendations
