Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a hospital food service associate to ensure staff training, maintain documentation, and uphold food safety standards in our on-site facilities. You will help schedule staff, monitor trays, check quality, and support timely service across patient care areas.

We welcome all healthcare professionals to join our thriving community and contribute to our pursuit for clinical excellence.**Department:****Job Description Summary:**## Position Responsibilities* Ensures staff is trained and competent before assignment to a particular position.* Keeps documentation of employee's performance to use during evaluation and counseling.* Enforces disciplinary actions and provides accurate and complete documentation.* Monitors job takes and offers suggestions to improve efficiency.* Works with employees in order to increase their level of productivity.* Keeps track of employees' attendance and punctuality.* Follows up on any problems related to security, safety and/or sanitation.* Is competent in scheduling of employees based on census, minimizes overtime, and informs subordinate when adjustments are made to posted schedules.* Always starts the patient trayline on time.* Quality of food is checked for taste, temperature and portion size.* Ensures that cleaning procedures are followed.* Enforces proper dress code and proper use of gloves, aprons, and hair restrains.
