Job summary

McDonald’s is seeking an FP&A Supervisor to join the Corporate Controller Group in Chicago. You will partner with Global Technology as a Finance business partner and help drive cost analyses, budgeting, and forecasting for a major cross-functional program.

You will own month-end close support, variance analysis, and spend reporting, balancing Operating Expenses and Capital Expenditures while building strong relationships with technology and corporate teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A or similar roles.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to analyze and present data clearly.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-moving environment.

Department Overview

The FP&A Supervisor will be part of the Business Advisory Services team within the Corporate Controller Group. As a part of the Global Finance team, this role provides financial expertise, direction, and strategic thought partnership to another Global department.

Duties

• Act as one of the Finance Business partners for Global Technology
• Assist the execution of a large-scale, cross-functional technology project (e.g., act as ongoing Finance SME on the business case, build cost-benefits analysis, advise on cost savings, etc.)
• Understand, report on, and explain spend drivers to Global Finance and Global Technology leadership
• Build relationships with VPs and their teams to create clarity and enable decision-making related to budget, i.e., correlate large amounts of financial data into simple, meaningful cross-functional business discussions
• Act as a key contributor/steward of the McDonald’s Corporate annual budget and the McDonald’s Corporate quarterly forecasts – the two processes work together to plan for and manage spend
• Support the month-end close process, including issue resolution, budget owner management, variance analysis, and monthly reporting
• Manage all components of Global Finance spend – including both Operating Expenses and Capital Expenditures – and ensure appropriate representation on the Income Statement and Balance Sheet
• Interact, influence, and build strong relationships with all areas of the Corporate Controller Group, Technology, and other McDonald’s departments, building open lines of communication and trust

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience; previous FP&A, Big 4, or similar experience preferred
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Proven track record of managing competing priorities and addressing roadblocks –desire to work independently amid ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with all disciplines, levels, and cultures and build relationships
• A strategic mindset, bias towards action, skepticism of the status quo, and can-do attitude – someone who is not afraid to dig in, uncover problems, and find solutions as a collective team

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is$85,014.00 -$106,267.00per year The above represents the expectedsalaryrange for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining yourpay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.
