Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Supervisor in the Company’s Field Services organization to manage five remote Field Technicians in the Longmont, CO area. You will interface with FAA stakeholders at the Denver ARTCC, coordinate NOCC dispatches, and ensure timely, high-quality service across government networks.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience (or a Graduate Degree with 0–2 years). Flexibility for travel and security clearances is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years in a related role.
  • Graduate degree with 0–2 years experience is acceptable.
  • If no degree, minimum 6 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise five remote Field Technicians across Longmont, CO.
  • Provide onsite FAA program support and customer interfacing at Denver ARTCC.
  • Coordinate with NOCC for dispatches and service requests.
  • Ensure adherence to program policies and proper procedures.
  • Oversee resource allocation and performance reviews.
  • Install, repair, configure, test and maintain PCs, network and telecom equipment.
  • Be available for after-hours calls and travel as needed (up to 100%).
  • Assist in safety and training, and obtain required clearances.

Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Supervisor in the Company’s Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will directly supervise five (5) remote Field Technicians across the Longmont, CO Airspace and will be responsible for onsite support interfacing with the customer at the Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZDV/ARTCC). This position will work closely with the Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) receiving dispatches and service requests supporting FAA programs.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide both general and technical training and guidance to team members who are accountable for the implementation and maintenance of program services for large government networks and systems.
  • Provide onsite training and support and to ensure team members are following and implementing proper program and company policies, procedure, and protocol.
  • Ensure team resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to support program operational needs.
  • Assist in objective setting, skill enhancement, resolution of employee concerns, and performance review activities for team members.
  • Proactively obtain customer feedback and provide support and guidance to team to ensure timely and quality customer services, and serve as an escalation point-of-contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk or NOCC.
  • Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance of personal computers, network equipment, and/or telecommunications equipment, and maintain records on repairs, down time, changes and updates.
  • Work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
  • Travel (up to 100% at a time) to remote sites or outside assigned regions to assist with additional program or customer requests.
  • Lift items up to 32lbs and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10ft (3.04m).
  • Ability to obtain a FAA Public Trust Security Clearance and may be asked to obtain and maintain active DOD Secret Clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 2 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience working with fiber, Multiplexes, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications
  • Experience with cable connectors and replacement including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449
  • Experience with power testing, AD and DC including 3 Phase AC
  • Experience with the operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC power supplies
  • Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards
  • Experience with Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital O-scope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets
  • CCNA, CCNP, A+, MCP or MCDST, Dell Certified on desktop and laptop
  • Experience with service dispatch centers
  • Experience with interfacing with the customer

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the Denver area is $67,000 – $124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
