Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Shift Supervisor to oversee EVS staff, ensure cleanliness and safety, and manage equipment and supplies. The role supports a 2:30pm - 11:00pm, five days per week schedule in a hospital setting.

You will lead a team, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and coach personnel to maintain optimal environmental services operations across patient care areas.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum in Environmental Services and/or healthcare.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Equivalent education may be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EVS staff to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Shift Supervisor directly oversees the activities of assigned Environmental Services staff to ensure that assigned areas are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with requisite standards of quality and safety. The Supervisor also assumes responsibility for care of equipment, control of supplies, and counseling of employees. Responsible for making decisions regarding staffing of EVS personnel for appropriate shift to ensure adequate coverage.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred
• Associate’s Degree highly Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree highly Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year previous Environmental Services and/or healthcare experience required. Required
• Previous supervisory experience Preferred
• Equivalent education may be substituted for experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont’s Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program Policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
• Registered/Certified Executive Housekeeper (REH/CEH) Preferred
• Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) Preferred
