Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens is seeking a Supervisor for Environmental Services to lead a dedicated team devoted to cleanliness, safety and hospitality for patients and staff. This on-site day-shift role requires coordinating EVS operations, guiding colleagues, and ensuring top-notch patient experience within a large hospital setting.

You will oversee standards, support staff development, and collaborate with other departments to maintain an optimal care environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience in housekeeping.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of EVS, laundry, or waste management operations, preferably in a large institution.

As a Supervisor, you will assume leadership of Environmental Services at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens. Here you will work with dynamic colleagues and a diverse patient population. Empower Environmental Service professionals to deliver extraordinary guest experiences. The supervisor also completes surveys on patients and performs quality checks on patient ready rooms. Be the face of caring, proactive customer service on a tight knit team. Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, safety and hospitality for all patients and employees. Provide inspiring, action-oriented leadership that fosters consistency, results and personalized service across our campus.

This is a full time position, working the day shift, Monday - Friday, including rotating weekends.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience supervising staff in a hospital environment

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range

$75,500-$90,600/Annual
