Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Bayonne, NJ is seeking a Supervisor of Environmental/Patient Transportation Services to support the Director and oversee housekeeping, waste handling, sanitation, and patient transportation operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Supervisor of Environmental/Patient Transportation Services, you are responsible for assisting the Director with managing all aspects of the operational needs of the Housekeeping and Patient Transportation Department. You will supervise daily housekeeping, waste handling, sanitation and patient transportation operations.

Full Time Exempt/Non-union

Monday-Friday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, weekends based on operational needs

• Supervises the day-to-day activities in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures. Coordinates housekeeping and transportation activities with other departments.
• Contributes to the development of annual goals, objectives and departmental budget and actively facilitates the achievement of budgeted goals and cost objectives and the on-going evaluation of results.
• Actively communicates with administration and other hospital departments.
• Supervises an effective Quality Assurance Program for the department that is consistent with the overall Hospital Quality Assurance plan.
• Conducts trainings and in-services in performing duties with fellow team members, patients, medical staff and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies/requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

• One to three years’ supervisory experience in hospital environment required.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet established criteriaAbility to apply a participative approach to leading staff, to coordinate and prioritize tasks, and to develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements

• Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Health system or hospital background
• Strong analytical and compliance-oriented mindset
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
• High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
