UVA Health in Virginia is seeking a professional to manage the financial aspects of patient care, including billing and coding. This role requires 7+ years of coding experience and a High School Diploma or GED. As a supervisor, you'll oversee support staff and ensure compliance with regulations.

These jobs focus on managing the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis.
These roles are responsible for translating patient diagnoses, treatments, and procedures into standardized medical codes. Medical coders ensure accurate coding to support billing processes, comply with regulations, and maintain the integrity of patient health records for reimbursement and reporting purposes.
Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.
Supervises support level employees. Sets goals and objectives for other employees within the Job Area. Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher‑level managers. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 7+ years of previous coding experience required.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The pay range for this role is $70,595.20 - $122,924.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
