Job summary

Independence Blue Cross is seeking a seasoned supervisor to lead enrollment teams in a fast-paced health insurance environment. You will supervise staff, manage performance timelines, and ensure accurate member enrollment processing while coordinating with QA for quality improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, policy adherence, and data processing knowledge, with an emphasis on customer service and productivity metrics. OverTime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or College Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the health insurance industry, preferably enrollment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data processing and the ability to work with documented policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively supervises team associates, ensuring productivity and quality standards, attendance policies, corporate training and performance management timelines.
  • Facilitates research to resolve internal and external customer issues and problems that are deemed sensitive.
  • Proactively schedules associates to achieve daily work processing time frames and priorities, tracks problem trends and issues and facilitates solution resolution.
  • Oversees accurate completion of member reconciliation activities and enrollment per customer requirements and corporate objectives.
  • Maintains and executes daily enrollment task lists, including SOC 1 and MAR requirements, fallout and error reports.
  • Ensures all workable inventory is addressed daily and controls are maintained.
  • Maintains visibility to the team in the work area.
  • Identifies processing activities requiring special approvals and handles accordingly.
  • Develops and proposes effective contingency plans for meeting variable volumes.
  • Unit achievement of established performance objectives and assists peers with support as needed.
  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance to identify errors and develop corrective action plans for improvement.
  • Must be able to work required overtime as dictated by business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
  • High School Diploma or College Degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the health insurance industry, preferably enrollment.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing effectively with others and being a team player.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and written communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Familiarity with data processing and the ability to work with documented policies and procedures.
  • ECS, One Hub, FOS, Health Rules/CFI and CSF, Advantasure, mPulse/H3O, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Avaya or a system that logs productivity.

Must have an Android or iOS device which is compatible with the free Microsoft Authenticator app.
