Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Supervisor, Reconditioning Service to oversee vehicle inspections, workflow, and training at a Cox location.

You will manage shop employees, ensure timely completion, monitor costs, and uphold safety and quality standards while collaborating with the operations manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma/GED with 5+ years in vehicle reconditioning or related field.
• Competent supervisory and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual/automatic.
• Excellent people, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred.

The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

What You’ll Do

• Supervising the inspection of vehicles.
• Managing the workflow and activities of the shop employees to ensure that all vehicles are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring employees have the proper equipment and are properly trained.
• Communicating and resolving reconditioning goals, results, and problems with the operations manager.
• Assisting the manager in monitoring and evaluating employee job performance and conducting performance appraisals.
• Using management tools to track production and post charges.
• Leading by example and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
• Monitoring and controlling the use of supplies, materials, and equipment for the recon shop.
• Enforcing all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.

• Minimum: HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience); or an equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience.
• Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Excellent people, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Strong communication and interaction skills.
• A working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations is preferred.
