Job Description Summary

The Supervisor, DC is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of employees engaged in shipping and receiving products, components, and/or replacement parts; oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments; studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. e management.

What You'll Do:
Supervision and Personnel Maintenance
  • Ensures company policies and guidelines, as set forth in the Corporate Human Resources Policy manual are followed; maintains a safe and clean work environment; collaborates with Managers to ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state and federal regulations.
  • Continually and proactively demonstrates strong leadership and managerial skills in recruiting, selecting, training, motivating, reviewing, coaching, developing, and retaining a high performance team.
  • Conducts timely and accurate employee performance evaluations; addresses performance issues as needed.
  • Manages attendance of direct reports including but not limited to tracking hours and monitoring/approving vacation and sick leave.
  • Schedules and assigns work; determines proper staffing levels in order to maintain schedule and keep with demand.
  • Maintains schedules for deliveries, delivery routes as well as schedules of preventive maintenance on delivery truck fleet and equipment to ensure efficient operation of vehicles and equipment.
  • Develops, maintains and implements policies and procedures to improve processes, equipment usage, job performance and quality methods to ensure on-time customer delivery.
  • Leads initiatives for Environmental Health and Safety for their facility.
Reporting
  • Compiles operational data to assist in preparing reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and/or conclusions.
Planning
  • Assists Manager in determining and establishing cost planning to ensure operations fall within established budget parameters.
  • Develops and implements productivity improvement plans in order to meet established goals.
Quality and Inventory Control
  • Monitors Logistics quality for facility and equipment care, proactive damage control, pallet quality, driving error free performance and inventory accuracy.
  • Directs employees to check for correct packaging, labeling, accurate quantity and general appearance of products; ensures corrective action is taken when an issue arises.
  • Ensures inventory management systems of all products stored in the distribution center are accurate utilizing SAP, cycle count programs and physical inventory counts.
  • Oversees and maintains stock levels to ensure they are within pre-set parameters.
  • Oversees the inbound process for receiving, returns, put-away, and bagging/boxing.
  • Oversees the outbound process for packing, picking, shipping; works with wave planning as needed.
  • Works with team in order to solve problems and makes informed decisions that affect the service, and productivity of the receiving and shipping areas.
  • Ensures 5S activities (sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain) are followed while driving lean initiatives and continuing to improve distribution center.

Total Rewards Package
  • Base: $58,000 - $76,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
