Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee receipt and storage of customer products across multiple transportation methods. You will supervise staff, train team members, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes maintaining efficient, safe operations with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential nights/weekends for coverage. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Eight years experience in product movement and/or operations with minor or no supervision.
• Safety and hazard training plus spill response training for pipeline and marine operations.
• Strong supervisory or management experience with customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to document and report clearly.

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. This role has a current pay range of $118,000 – $127,000. The listed pay range represent the company’s good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of this posting. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility for the maintenance, safety, and environmental matters related to the receipt and storage of customer products through multiple transportation methods.
• Supervises employees including fair and consistent assignment of tasks.
• Assumes responsibility for the training and development of department employees.
• Performs daily physical inspections and prepares status reports on equipment and operations.
• Operates equipment used in daily operations and prepares laboratory analysis.
• Prepares daily and monthly reports, material, and service requisitions.
• Evaluates subordinates’ daily activities for performance evaluation.
• Assures daily, weekly, and annual reports are delivered to management, interdepartmental groups, and customers according to regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Reduces potential risk to public safety and environment and minimizes company liability through efficient product movement.
• Improves operations efficiency and financial profitability through well maintained processes.
• Assist the Shift Supervisor in coordinating contractor activities, ensuring adherence to safety policies and site procedures, and maintaining effective communication to support safe and efficient completion of contracted work.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years experience in product movement and/or operationsand a high school diploma or equivalent
• Safety and hazard training as well as spill response training for pipeline and marine preferred
• Supervisory or management experience with customers
• PC skills with extensive Word and Excel ability
• Certification or formal training in mechanics preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy
• Ability to manage time to meet appropriate deadlines and schedules
• Ability to work successfully in stressful situations and to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities
• Ability to take directions from supervisors
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation requirements

Work Schedule: This position is normally assigned to a Monday through Friday schedule consisting of eight (8) hour shifts. To support business continuity and maintain supervisory coverage, the Supervisor will be required to work night and weekend shifts on an as-needed basis to cover other supervisors during vacations, extended absences, and other operational needs. These alternate shifts are typically twelve (12) hours in duration. The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule and adjust work hours as business needs require.
